Water Birds from Alappuzha

Alappuzha with its wonderful backwaters and paddy fields offers habitat for a wide variety of water birds.
The photos were taken from paddy fields by the side of road, near Alappuzha.
Indian Pond Heron
Indian Pond Heron (Ardeola grayii)
Exif : f/7.1, 1/320s, ISO 160, +1/3 step, 450mm, Nikon D7100, Sigma 150-500mm

It is the reflection in water which makes this photo my favourite.
Little Cormorant
Little Cormorant (Microcarbo niger)
Exif : f/6.3, 1/200s, ISO 110, +2/3step,  450mm, Nikon D7100, Sigma 150-500mm

Cormorants usually rest with their wings spread. Little Cormorant is almost similar to Indian Cormorant (Phalacrocorax fuscicollis). The latter is slightly larger and has green eyes, whereas the former has black eyes.

Hoping to get more photos next time.

Na pierwszym zdjęciu jest nie jeden ptak, a dwa i ślicznie to wygląda. Pozdrawiam.
The first picture is not one bird, and two and a pretty it looks. Yours.
