Marbled White Moth is a common moth seen in India.
Unlike the majority of other moths which comes out only during night time, this one can be seen during day time also, flying or sitting on leaves or flowers. In these pictures, it is resting on a hibiscus leaf.
This medium sized moth belongs to the family of Arctiidae, with species name Nyctemera coleta. The white and brown patches on the wings resembles marble stone, and so is its name.
