Found this green Katydid sitting on a Colacasia leaf when I was walking in my backyard one evening.
I didn't even have my camera with me, so ran back to grab it, and luckily it was there itself when I returned.
Katydids unlike grasshoppers, are usually bigger in size and have long antenna and legs. They belong to the family of Tettigoniidae. Since most of them are green in color it is not easily noticed while sitting on leaves. This particular katydid had yellow linings on top and on the edges of wings.

maar met zijn mooie schutkleur valt hij niet erg op ,dus dubbel zo mooi om hem te vinden.
