Common Emigrant Butterfly

One of the most common butterflies seen in plenty here. In these pictures they are feeding on a firebush plant. The previous post was about the caterpillar of this butterfly.

Firebushes are rich in nectar and so they attract butterflies and birds, especially Sunbirds.

These usually have two spots on the lower side of their wings. Color is greenish yellow/lemon yellow. So they are also called Lemon Emigrant.
Species name: Catopsilia pomona.

See you till next.
